Eager faces lined up in the Zip Trails parking lot last Sunday, August 15th to learn from Coach Val and Coach Brenda in LAMBO’s first Kids’ Clinic. Sixteen kids participated in the clinic on Sunday, August 15th.

Trail

The clinic started with the whole group reviewing safety protocols and bike basics. After a quick assessment, Coach Val divided the kids into two ability groups.  The first hour was spent with each group working on bike/body awareness drills.

Rendezvous

After some practice on level ground, the two groups headed out to the trails.  The more advanced riders skipped the Sues and rode directly out to Back Country to focus on the drops and jumps on some of the new trails.  The other group sessioned the teeter-totter in the parking lot with all kids successfully crossing it before spending time on the trails.

Coaches Val and Brenda wrapped up the clinic circling back to the goals each child set at the beginning of the clinic and had the kids choose a skill to continue to work on moving forward.

LAMBO would like to thank Val and Brenda for helping out with our first clinic. Thanks also to Heather, Lisa, Tim, Bryce and all the other parents who made the clinic possible.
