- Park in the Northwoods Zip Line lot and ride in on Gem Trail.
- Big Blue Ox is the easy cruiser loop. Ride it first.
- Warmed up? Ready, Aim and Fire are the downhill lines; Reload climbs you back to the top. Every drop, kicker and table has a ride-around.
- Finish at Peggie's Pump Track; drop in from Sue 2.

The Zip Trail is one of the most popular trail systems in Northern Wisconsin. It sits on the grounds of Northwoods Zip Line just south of Minocqua, and LAMBO is always improving and adding to it.
What you’ll find
- Free and open to the public. Park at the Zip Line lot and ride.
- Fun, fast and accessible. Gem Trail leads in from the lot; Big Blue Ox is the easy cruiser loop; Ready, Aim and Fire are the downhill lines; Reload brings you back to the top. Optional drops, kickers and tables on the gravity trails all have ride-arounds.
- Peggie’s Pump Track. Built in 2021 with support from the Peggie Post Mallery Wisconsin Conservation Fund and a lot of local donors. Short connector trails let you drop into the pump track from Sue 2 or climb out of it.
- Groomed for winter fat biking. When the snow comes, LAMBO grooms the Zip for fat bikes, and it rides as well in January as it does in July. Check the conditions page for the latest grooming report.
- Snowshoe trail. A separate snowshoe loop crosses both the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest and Town of Minocqua property.
The Zip was developed with support from the Northwoods Zip Line, the Town of Minocqua, the Minocqua Area Visitors Bureau, and the Wisconsin DNR. None of it would be there if the Northwoods Zip Line had not paid to have the first segments of trail built.
